I have been taking care of my brother since I was very young. My mother was (and still is) in the Army and deployed to Iraq often, and without a dad in the picture, there wasn't anyone else to take care of us. I had to grow up quicker than children my age at the time, and I had to take care of brother. Make sure he was bathed, that he took his medicine, got to and from school safely, completed his homework, and went to bed at a reasonable time. Because of this, taking care of children (and people in general) is like second-nature. I have been babysitting for eight years now, and because of my current work hours, I am only available after 17:00. If needed, I am able to babysit a full night/overnight.
