I moved to Birmingham about two years ago to attend UAB's Optometry School. About two months ago I withdrew from school because I am no longer inclined to go into the healthcare industry. I have realized that working with children is my calling. I have always loved kids, even when I was still a kid. I feel that they are the only innocent ones in the world and they deserve to be given the best chances in life. Before I moved to Birmingham, I attended college at Auburn University Montgomery, where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Science with an emphasis in Chemistry. While I was in college, I worked in a church nursery in the 3 month to 2 year-old room. Most of the kids we had were newborns, so I have a lot of experience with them. I was also a nanny for a family with three Read more kids, all under the age of 5. It was crazy sometimes, but I loved every minute of it, and I love those kids. When I started, the "baby" was only 3 months old and I recently attended her 4th birthday party! Time really does fly, but I enjoy working with kids this age because I think it is so neat to watch them develop their personalities. I very much love the outdoors. My favorite hobbies are tennis, kayaking, and hiking. I would love the freedom to take kids to the park or zoo during the summer. I have my own car that is only a couple of years old, so it is very reliable. I am CPR certified.
