My name is Nia, and I am an attentive, empathetic and dedicated 25-year-old nanny/babysitter and tutor. I took a babysitter certification course when I was 12 and have been partnering with families ever since. I have experience team babysitting up to 12 kids at once, have taught in the Birmingham School System with class sizes upwards of 20 students, and have worked with virtually every age. I have worked with kids from pre-crawlers to middle schoolers at my church. This past year I have been living abroad, homeschooling and babysitting for the expat community in my city. Before moving abroad, I was a nanny with a family I found here on sittercity. That little boy is in school now, and I'm sure his mom would love to give you a reference. I do have my own car that is reliable and can accommodate car seats. I'm a very safe driver: Read more I have never been in an accident, never been pulled over on the road, nor received a ticket. I especially love being a nanny because I love building relationships with kids, and being able to see them develop and learn. As an intuitive and enthusiastic care-giver, I love to see the dynamic nature of the learning process. I am also a good cook, and am comfortable with general housekeeping tasks including laundry. While I am allergic to cats, I am thankfully able to be around and play with dogs.
