Dear Family, I am a 25 year old female looking for a summer au pair job in the New York City or abroad. I have traveled around my country and around the world working with children. Even while I was making a very decent living managing a chain of hotels at 24 years old, I missed working with children and on my off days was lucky enough to be able to watch a lovely one year old. I have worked with kids of all ages from one to 15 and think each age group brings something great to the table. Not only do I enjoy working with kids, I enjoy educating kids. Whether it's in a classroom teaching English and math, tutoring, or working at Space Camp teaching about space history. I believe in making learning fun. I have extensive experience with children, I have worked as an au pair Read more from October 2010- September 2011, after that I became a camp counselor at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama working with children 10-15. After 6 months there, I went to pursue other jobs including managing a small chain of hotels in North Dakota. Although I made a very steady paycheck, I missed working with children so I would nanny a one year old 2 days a week awhile managing the hotel. I left North Dakota last fall to teach English to kindergarten students in Cambodia. Recently, I have returned to the U S. Space and Center to teach children about space history, communication, teamwork, and leadership. I love my job but am looking for a new experience. I have a passion for working with children and am excited for a new job working with children while experiencing a new adventure. As an au pair, I would love to help your children learn about the world around us. Whether that means playing at the park and learning about nature, helping them with their homework, helping them on their English skills, or cooking with them and teaching them about nutrition, I want them to have fun and to expand their minds. You can expect your children to grow with me while having fun. All I hope is to work in an environment that makes that possible.
