I graduated from Jefferson County International Baccalaureate School, the #1 most challenging school in Alabama and the #9 most challenging school in the Nation per the Washington Post, in May of 2016. I am freshman at the University of Montevallo studding Elementary education with the hopes of one day being an Elementary school teacher. I have been a Zoofaria Teen with the Birmingham Zoo since 2012. I have worked as a camp counselor during their Zoo summer camps. I have worked with children in the camps from ages 4-12. I have been responsible for supervising kids while in the bathroom and on the playground and grounds of the Zoo, teaching them about the animals that the Birmingham Zoo has, delivering snack and lunches to the, assisting and teaching the kids how to do arts and crafts. I am an Alabama Red Cross certified babysitter along with being Alabama Red Cross Read more certified in CPR. I have been a teacher’s assistant at Cornerstone School in Woodlawn, AL and Grantswood Community school in Irondale, AL for 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 school year. I have babysat for the summer of 2013 for a family in Hoover with two girls age 6 and 4. I have longed after kids in an orphanage while on a mission trip in Ecuador I am an active reader and writer of stories and books. I enjoy hanging out with friends, playing games, movies, and exploring. I am a member of The Alabamian, The University of Montevallo’s newspaper. I was layout manager for my high school’s national ranked Literary magazine for two years. I am a hard worker, very organized, very studious, honest and loving. I am strong willed, stubborn, controlling, and shy at first but I warm up quickly and am a very nice person after I get to know you. I an avid cooker and baker and love to find new recipes to try out. I am an avid sewer and knitter. I have dreamt being a teacher since I as 4 and my parents and friends use to say that if I did not become a teacher I would be missing my calling. I have a strong heart for children and their education and will take good care of any children entrusted into my care.
