I have a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science with a minor in Human Nutrition and I have found my calling- I love being a nanny! I have been a part-time nanny for 1.5 years, and worked full-time for 8 months. The person I currently work for has plans to shift her career back home, she is due with her second baby in one month! The children I have the most nanny experience with are 15 months-6 year olds. I have been a babysitter for 15 years and currently babysit children ages 3, 5, and 12years. I am a certified nutritionist and yoga teacher, CPR/First Aid Certified, have Driver's and Boat License with 5 star safety rated car, am travel-friendly (squish well between car seats!), will renew passport, and a graduate of the National Outdoor Leadership School. I had a great childhood, a super fun big sis who always had a Read more new activity or craft planned (and still does!). I went to private school from ages 4-16 so I understand the importance of homework, can teach Etiquette (plans to take a children's etiquette course), and will encourage reading (currently consult the Caldecott awards list for best reads). I also love sports and specialize in water sports, but encourage each child to pursue their schoolwork and individual extracurriculars (I am in the process of learning piano too!) with passion and confidence! I am an all around wonderful star nanny ready to work full time! A great way to sum me up is flexible, I can offer my extra knowledge of food, or cook whatever you the parent specifies (with recipe to the best of my knowledge!), follow lists very well, will always have a safety plan, will always put your children first, will ensure your child has fun but stays on task, can make grocery lists, and remember your favorite stuff too, parents! My favorite quote that can be applied to nanny: "Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big, because to them all of it has always been big stuff. "-Catherine M. Wallace. I always try to be the best listener, role model, friend, and fan to the kids I care for. I think I do a great job and look forward to meeting a new family I may work full-time for!
