My name is Kristian, and I have recently relocated to the Warrior area. I have experience mainly working with young children around the ages of 1 to 4. I have cared for infants in my Churches daycare center, as well as in the home full time and a childcare facility environment. My most recent childcare job was at Samford University's Child Development Center. I am very educational and development oriented, and actively work on the learning stages that each age group should be at. I love reading and using picture books, as well as playing music and getting children enthusiastic about both. I enjoy reading and writing, as well as outdoor activities such as hiking, camping and canoeing. I will teach children basic sign-language, such as thank you, no thank you, I love you, etc. I feel like the younger stages between 2 and 4 are the stages where their Read more minds and individual personalities develop the most, so I make sure that whatever we are learning is useful for school, but never boring. We do arts and crafts such as making sock puppets and seasonal decorations. Aside for my experience, I just enjoy working with children. It's a very fulfilling job and the reward is knowing that I'm making an impact on their lives. I am a fun-loving, honest person. Even though I take my job seriously, I enjoy every minute of it and have fun being around the children.
