I owned a plumbing wholesale business with my husband for 21 years in Mobile. Because of the recession we closed in 2009 and retired. Shortly afterwards my husband became ill and passed away in 2011. I cared for him at home without any help during his entire bought with cancer. Prior to that I had been my Mother's caregiver. I now want to do something fulfilling in my life. I am not interested in going back into the business world. I am great with children of all ages and have been told I never meet a stranger. I love to cook, garden, do crafts, entertain, dance and love a well kept home. Unfortunately my grandchildren are grown and the great grand children live out of town. I have no responsibilities of my own and feel I have a lot to offer a child. I am not lazy and love to Read more be busy. I am a native Mobilian and have lived in Spanish Fort for 22 years. Although I have never made a living caring for children, it comes natural to me. I think I am young for my age and I take pride in my appearance at all times. At times I may be a little to kind but I find a smile is better than a frown any day. I don't have any special training or certificates, only a lot of personal experience. I would not mind helping with cleaning or the cooking, running errands and enjoying the company of a child.
