I was offered a job at a daycare/headstart center after I graduated from high school in 1996. My job duties consist of working one-on-one with a child that was mentally challenged, create lesson plans, and redirect him if he was having some type of struggles with the others in the center. I fell in love with that because at that time I knew that this is what I wanted to do. From there I worked in home with a family of 4 children, one being autistic and one with severe anxiety. I prepared healthy meals and snacks for the kids, ran errands, homework, laundry, and bedtime stories. I treat all children as if they are my very own.
