I am a mother first and foremost, so caring for children comes naturally. To hone my skills with my own children, I have completed 3 years of parenting classes one-on-one with a Registered Nurse who has over 20 years of experience in the Psychiatric field. We worked through the book called "Nurturing Parenting," which I have available if you would like to read the course content. It focuses on being in tune with each child's personal needs, and nurturing all of their feelings while also providing structured discipline that does not involve spanking or yelling. I am also pursuing a nursing degree with a minor in Psychology. I have taken both General Psychology and Lifespan Psychology so I have very good insight into the development of children at all ages. My second passion is doing arts and crafts, and being that all children are artists, I particularly love involving them Read more and seeing the things they are able to create! I fully believe that this generation has become far too dependent on electronic devices, and my approach is one that brings children back to using their hands to build, manipulate, create, and observe. Anytime the weather permits, I prefer to be outside enjoying nature and all of the wonderful learning experiences it provides children. I have great references, am CPR certified, and am ready to meet your precious children! I don't intend to just "keep them alive". I look forward to building a lasting relationship while keeping your mind at ease while you are away!
