My child care experience: I grew up babysitting all the time. If I wasn't watching my younger brothers then I was volunteering to babysit for my mom's friends. I loved going to work with my mom, who at the time worked in daycare. Once I turned 18, I started working at a gym in the child care department. I had the joy of dedicating my time from infants up to 12 year olds. I worked there for a year before deciding to get into serving. When I was 20 I had my first official nannying job. I picked up and moved from my family for the first time ever and landed myself in Hawaii for a 6 month commitment. I thankfully was working with family so it wasn't such a scary move. When I got there I met my freshly one month old baby cousin who I was devoting 6 Read more months of my life to. I very quickly learned babysitting and being a nanny were totally different. I had to learn how to be in "mom mode" at all times. Even on my times off, I was still completely dedicated to making sure he was perfect at all times. I had to do daily activities with him; tummy time, getting out of the house and experiencing different sights, learning to sit up, eat, crawl, and walk. When I had full days off I would help other moms that my cousin knew so they could have a day off.
