I have been working in childcare since I was 12 years old. I began working in childcare at First Presbyterian Church in Georgetown, Texas at age 12. I moved to Alabama in 8th grade and began babysitting for a family with an 8 year old girl. I babysat with that family until they moved away about a year and a half later. In high school I babysat for a family with a newborn for a few months in the summer. When I was a senior in high school I nannied for a family with an 8 year old son. I worked with that family until I moved away for college. In all of my previous childcare experiences, I had similar responsibilities. I provided transportation, cooked and provided meals, planned activities, and looked after the children's wellbeing. I am willing to adapt to a child's interests, whether that be dance, sports, Read more video games, swimming, etc. I am currently finishing my degree at the University of Alabama. My degree is in Secondary Education - English Language Arts. I have spent over 300 hours in the classroom with kids from ages 10-18. After graduation I am moving to Conroe, Texas for an education job. I love children and working with them, which is why I am searching for a summer job in childcare.
