The last family I worked with had three children. When I started, the youngest was three weeks old, the middle was four and the oldest was six. I worked for them for a year until the mother decided to stay home after a change in careers. I focused a lot on education and activities. I believe busy children are happy children and that chores are a necessary evil to teach independence and responsibility. The family I worked for before that was also three children. A 15 year old boy, 10 year old girl and a 19 year old boy with autism and Down's syndrome. I was responsible for maintaining the household and running everyone around to activities as well as doctors appointments. I tutored the two children as well as even teaching the oldest to drive. Those are my two most recent families but I have been taking care of Read more people and their families for more than half my life at this point. I'm stern and serious but fun and a bit silly. I truly believe there is a time and place for everything. I'm also an excellent cook, enjoy and excel at organization and cleaning and enjoy keeping a home clean and well run.
