Hello, my name is Delourean Blanton and I am a single mother of a 13 year old boy and a almost 3 year old little boy. I have worked as a direct support professional and program manager for almost 7 years overseeing the needs of DD adolescents, adults and seniors. I later went into the field of behavioral health were I was a BHT and shortly after promoted to program coordinator where I was able to juggle home life, two kids, sports, a 40 to 55 hr work week and being on call 24/7. In this line of work I helped adults who suffered from various diagnoses such as split personality, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, visual and audio hallucinations and drug/alcohol addiction. I was recognized for my dedication, my passion and my willingness to go above and beyond. So with that said I have been in calm, chaotic, hostile, Read more peaceful and dangerous situations but with my knowledge, trainings, patience ,my ability to maintain calm in stressful situations and my passion to want to help others to the best of my ability I believe is what sets me apart from others. I love kids, I'm a master crafter, I'm very organized, big on communication, I can cook like no other, I clean and handle anything thrown my way. I'm cpr/1st aid certified, I have my level 1 state fingerprint clearance card. I'm CIT(client intervention technique) level 1 and 2 trained, able to pass medications, I have experience with children and adult feeding tubes, colostomy care, autistic, ADD and ADHD children and adults. I also graduated with honors top of my class and received a full academic scholarship so homework is not a problem but I must be honest math is not my strong point but my father is a math genius so I have a back up plan lol. So with that said I hope my professional background along with my trainings, certificates and knowledge happens to be what you and your family are looking for. I'd also like to add that I do not smoke, I do not do drugs, I don't mind pets, I have no allergies or medical/health problems that would keep me from completing my job thoroughly and I also have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record and a valid negative TB test.
