I have always admired the growth of individuals and being apart of their success. Since I was 14 I watched 2 young children ages 2 years old and 3 months, for 3 years every weekend from 3pm to midnight. The young boy and I became more like family as I taught him the basics of math, identifying colors, and talking fluently as well as teaching his younger sister how to grip items and walk and eventually talk fluently. I love watching the development of a child because you witness how the brain works from such a young age and in reality as we're them, they are are teaching us and that in itself is priceless. I was also a waitress at a retirement home where many if the residents had special needs and half the time they had memory issues so I had to work extra hard to provide the Read more correct diet for everyone. While I cared for the 2 children on the weekends I worked with the residents during the week and the age difference has brought many lessons that I've soaked in. My young children teach me the innocence of life while my older companions taught me the meanings of life and how to walk everyday with my head held high. I knew working for people was something I'd always want because I'm this world we are never alone and I want to be the one to put my hand out first and help those around me.
