Hi, my name is Marissa. I am 20 years old and I am passionate about Life! I live in Phoenix, Arizona but spent the first 11 years of my life in Yuba City, California. I'm currently going to school to receive a certificate of specialty in Holistic Nutrition, and want to further that into some other kind of degree that helps people or helps the envioenment. Before this, I attended one year at University College in Flagstaff, AZ taking prerequisites for Kinesiology. I decided that wasn't my true passion. I work at a grocery store, Sprouts farmers Market, as a bakery clerk presently but have experienced several other departments including cashier, dairy, vitamins, scan, and will soon be transferring to bookkeeping. I've been with the company for almost 3 years and enjoy gaining different types of experiences in the grocery store. With all of that being said, I must mention Read more that I LOVE kids! I grew up in a family of 5 with two younger siblings. I also have 10 younger cousins and a mother who worked at a preschool(which I helped out at) so I have tons on informal babysitting experience. I am a firm believer that our kids are the future, and if we want a bright future it's up to us to shape them into independent but community-driven adults. The behaviors that they will develop over time depend on us, so I want to make sure to be the best example for any children I encounter and care for. My favorite thing about kids is their optimistic and playful nature. I think we can all learn alot from them along with the vice versa of us teaching them how to be their best selves and be of service to the world they will soon lead. Because of my background in nutrition, I am a huge health nut. I am very big on eating right and getting natural exercise. I ensure you that if I end up caring for your family, I will only allow (foods, books, energies, etc.) that are good for their well-being (if you allow it, of course). I also have a strong passion for traveling. I've only been to about 6 states but want to experience all types of societies and people. That is why I chose to actually seek out a family that lives in a different area than me. I do not have any qualifications but am more than willing to take classes and earn any that you feel I need. I'd like to make this a summer job (extended if needed) and save up money to get my own apartment.
