Hello! My name is Auroya Johnson and I am 18 years old. I am graduating high school May 25th, 2017 (Woo-hoo!) I adore children. My past 5 years I have had the wonderful experience of surrounding myself with children all shapes and sizes. I am currently enrolled at South Mountain Community College where I am taking various classes surrounding the topic of special education and early childhood. During my high school career I had the honor of being apart of two classes that has helped me choose early education as my career. The first class is People Leadership, in the class I co-coached Special Olympics for Cesar Chavez. I worked with numerous amounts of students with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental illnesses. I taught them about hygiene and good sportsmanship. The second class is Peer Leadership, in this class high school students took a trip to the nearest elementary Read more school and taught 4th, 5th and 6th grade students lessons on trust, courage, and careers. Both of these classes have made me a better teacher, learner and supporter of the next generation. Freshman and sophomore year of high school I was a nanny to a 11 month old, a three year old, and a seven year old. Unfortunately my kiddos moved to New York and I then had to get a job in customer service. I have been waiting to get out of high school so I can devote my time with some lovely kiddos! I know how important your children are to you and I hope when we do meet you will see the caring, attentive, compassionate love I have for all little ones. I hope my age doesn't make any of you fearful for I am years ahead of my peers (teachers, counselors, and parents can vouch for that). I am looking for a family I can dedicate myself to long term. I can't wait to meet you and your lovely family!
