In my 34 years as a child care specialist, I have worn my different hats. I like to think of myself as a leap frog. I can jump from one situation into another in a matter of seconds. My first experience at child care came in 1980 when my first child was born. I was scared to death I would mess this all up. So I began my journey for self education on how to raise a child. I have successfully read many books on child rearing. What I learned though did not come from any book. My children, all three, through all their different personalities have taught me more than any book could. Each child has different needs. Its up to the care giver to watch and learn each child's uniqueness. It is the care providers job too know the end result is that we add to society a Read more person who is prepared not only care for them-self, but someone who can prosper intelligently. I have also successfully ran a Children s Care group. My duties were to provide a meal, story time, craft ideas that were age appropriate. I like organized. I like structure. It keeps balance in everyday living.
