I am currently in my first year as a Kindergarten teacher! My first job as a teacher is to make sure that my students are safe and my classroom is a safe learning environment. After that making sure that my students are engaged and learning the AZ common core standards. Before I worked as a teacher I worked at a Preschool where I worked with children from 1 year to 12 years. I loved having the opportunity to work with a large variety of age groups. My tasks ranged from helping with writing, teaching music, reading and phonics skills to changing diapers, helping prepare food, and feed them and put children down for naps. I also worked for the Y. M. C. A. working as a summer camp counselor and as a basketball coach. During my time with the Y. M. C. A. I was able to work with many Read more different ages where I spent time making sure my campers had fun while also learning important valuable attributes such as responsibility, friendship, and teamwork. I also have step children that spend every other weekend with my fiance and I. I have always loved working with children and it has truly been a blessing being able to have a career where I am able to do something that I love!
