Hello! I recently moved to Scottsdale from Minnesota (it's true - we do have a little bit of an accent). I grew up in a family of 5 kids so being around little ones has been second nature to me for a very long time. My first job in child care began at the age of 14, where I supervised infants and toddlers during church every Sunday throughout my high school years. During high school I was also involved in the city's youth soccer program. I started out as a referee and then ended up coaching my own team of 3rd graders. Soccer has always been a huge part of my life, and would love to find a great soccer family! And how could I not be an avid hockey fan coming from the "State of Hockey" - Go Wild! My most recent experience as nanny began 3 years ago Read more during my college career. I truly became apart of this family from the very beginning and had a very tearful goodbye with them just recently in the beginning of January. This family consisted of Mom, Dad, and their 3 children- two girls and boy (ages 6, 9, and 11 at the time). My duties included: cooking, cleaning, housework, homework help (I also tutor), driving kids to and from activities, scheduling play dates, meal prep, errands, doctor/dental visits, supervised pool time, and even overnights when parents were out of town. When moving to Scottsdale, I also had to leave an amazing job working for the Mankato Area Public School district. I was employed as a special education paraprofessional at the local high school. I have experience working with students affected by Autism and Developmental Cognitive Disorders. I am definitely willing, welcoming, and open to working for a family who may have child with special needs. Here is a little bit about my educational background as well: I graduated in 2014 with my B.S. in Psychology, and a minor in Child Development and Family studies. I am knowledgeable in the areas of child psychology/adolescent psychology, early childhood/the importance of play and developmental learning. I am also currently CPR and First Aid certified
