as of November 18, 2015 -- Currently open for your needs with exception of 3 to 6 Monday and Tuesday (and every other Friday noon to 6 when I am nannying 3 preteen boys) Thank you! Nancy cell 602 301 0843 June 19, 2015 Recently completed a temporary job with an eight-month-old baby. May of this year, I completed 5 months of care for an eight year old and a 10 year old. We played active games and board games and had quiet homework time and commuted from school to home and to after-school activities. August 2013 to December 2014, I cared for a one-year-old ( through two more birthdays!). We played games, read and did lots of painting and beginner crafts. Before that, I sat for baby boy and his two-year-old sister for well over a year. His mom told me I was the only sitter who made him Read more smile when I walked in the door. Much of the time throughout my teaching and writing career, I have also been a babysitter for varying periods. The teaching part of my career (until 2000) included elementary-level teaching. One of my babysitting jobs several years ago led to my being named (by their mother) unofficial godmother to two girls who are now young teenagers (younger one was 11 days old when I first babysat). Am still friends with the family, and enjoy seeing them. From 2009 to 2011, I lived near my young nephew (now 12) helping him with homework, playing yard and indoor games and taking him to cultural events, baseball practice and swimming at the lake. In addition to enjoying caring for children, I am comfortable with pets as well, having had a dog myself for 16 years. My caregiving philosophy? I believe children develop most with clear expectations and positive interaction with timeout and adjusting privileges as necessary. Favorite games and toys? Depending of children's ages, I am a chameleon in that department -- books, Mickey Mouse, throwing ball, princess "plays," , CandyLand, Scrabble, Life, Monopoly, Chutes and Ladders, a bit of Wii -- Always open to suggestions on where I can expand my knowledge for more fun! In addition to usual babysitting needs, I can provide pickups, run errands and help with household needs.

Nancy has been caring for our 2-year-old daughter in our home 1-2x per week for 4-9 hours at a time since August 2013. She brings a large bag of activities and actively engages our daughter in outdoor time, arts and crafts, music, and creative play. She cares deeply for our daughter and seeks ways to make her happy. She prepares healthy meals from food we have in our home and communicates well. Our daughter has grown attached to Nancy, so much so that our daughter was in a rush to send her mother off to work when Nancy arrived recently. We couldn't be more pleased and are continuing to use Nancy in 2014.

Nancy sat for our two kids and was wonderful! She had great communication, showed up on time (ahead of schedule even!), and asked all the necessary questions to make sure she and we were comfortable before we enjoyed our date night out. She took great care of our children and was very considerate of their needs. We would highly recommend Nancy!
