I love children. I love to teach them, and watch them when they understand something, or use what you have taught them for the first time. As we know, children are like sponges and soak up everything that you give them, so I try to give all the knowledge I have, such as music and sign language, my other two passions.  I am very musically talented and always trying to learn something new, in every aspect, but especially in music. I play 7 instruments, and sing, and have taught a number of kids how to play instruments. I graduated in 2010 with my degree as a licensed American sign language interpreter. I then went on to get my degree as a speech-language pathologist, and am working full-time at a school doing speech therapy. I am currently in a full-time Masters program to become a licensed psychologist. I took Spanish for 4 years in Read more high school and can speak and understand it, and am able to teach it, I just wouldn't feel comfortable saying I am fluent, like I am in American sign language.  My father is a pastor and I am a Christian who holds my values and personal ethics dear, but I never push my beliefs or convictions on anyone; I just love to love on everyone.  I am very active and love to have fun. One of my main mottos is, "If you wanted your children to watch t.v. or be in front of an iPad all day, then you could've done that yourself and saved the money." I think children should be outside and active as much as possible. There are times for movies or t.v., but I am not one to sit them in front of the t.v. all day and say that I am caring for your child!

Gretchen was our babysitter for almost 2 years and we loved her! My 3 kids always looked forward to her coming over because she was so energetic and fun to be around. My husband and I were able to go on date nights and not worry about our kids because we knew they were in good hands. She was always willing to babysit for us and was always on tme. We were so sad that she moved out of state, but we are so glad we had the chance to have her as our babyitter for as long as we did!

Gretchen has been our primary sitter for the better part of the last year. Our children love her, and it is with a heavy heart that we send her with best wishes to her new lfe in another city. My husband and I would recommend her whole-heartedly for any position. We have trusted her implicity and she has lived up to and beyond every expectation.

We have been looking for a long-term nanny to care for our infant son. After an exhaustive search, we shook hands with Gretchen. She agreed she would start in a month, and then we never heard another word from her. If Gretchen had some reason for not honoring her commitment, we certainly never heard why, as she never returned a phone call. It really put us in quite the jam to base an entire schedule around someone and then have them decide to flake out and leave us hanging. Perhaps though everything works out for the best, because we certainly would not want to trust our child with someone who thinks responsibilities are optional.

Gretchen babysat for my family for this first time this past weekend. She was on time, polite and very interactive with my kids who are 3,4,9 and 11. I will definitely be using her as often as possible. Thanks Gretchen!
