Before I tell about my professional experience as a nanny, I have personal experience due to being a mom of a 5 month old. I also have my bachelor's degree in Communications which I earned from Eastern Michigan University. Now, to my professional nanny experience--- My first nanny job was at the age of 14 for the Peterson's in MI. They had 2 girls age 5 and 8. I would cook their meals, read to them, help with homework, go fishing, bike riding, etc. I also helped with light housework as needed. I watched the girls for about 1.5-2 years until I moved. The other family I worked for had 3 children (1 girl and 2 boys). I began watching them when the youngest one was born. I changed diapers, fed them, picked them up from school, took them to soccer practice and gymnastics, helped with homework, cleaned the house, Read more read books, played games, bathed them, put them to bed, traveled with the family on a few occasions, etc. I watched them for about 8 years. The oldest is going on her senior year at Northwestern University, the middle is going on his sophomore year at U of M and the youngest is now about to begin his freshmen year at MSU. I also have plenty of babysitting experience as well. I love kids and think they are amazing blessings. I would prefer a situation that I could also bring my daughter with me to "work", but I also understand that some families may not prefer that and that is also okay. I do have references available upon request. I don't smoke, drink, or swear. Any other questions, feel free to ask!
