Working with children is my passion. I have wanted to do so since I was in 3rd grade. My teacher, Mrs. Auclair, showed me that she loved me - personally. She also instilled in me a love for learning and I wanted to become just like her. I have been babysitting since I was in junior high. My passion to work with children onset my pursuit to become a teacher. I enrolled in college in 2009 and started working in the public school's before and after school care system my Junior year. My Senior year, I was able to act as a substitute teacher at the school I grew up in and I also worked there as a part time music teacher. After graduating college, I began teaching 5th and 6th grade. I couldn't have imagined having a better first class! They were such a gift. We learned and grew Read more so much together! I taught in that position for two years, and moved to teach middle school and high school English. I just finished my 4th year of teaching! (Including the 1 year of non-traditional) I currently enrolled at Grand Canyon University online to pursue another degree to work with special needs children.
