All of my work experience has been with children, whether in child care or teaching. I began baby-sitting for a family with two children from my church when I was 12 and stayed with them for eight years, while they had two more children. In college, I was a nanny for a 6-month-old girl for two years. I then worked as a child care specialist at the Mesa Child Crisis Center for two years, where I worked with a team of primary caregivers for up to 15 toddlers and infants. I was also a nanny for a 2-year-old girl for about six months while I finished college. Throughout high school and college, I worked at my church as a summer children's intern, teaching and creating summer activities for first through sixth graders. After graduating from ASU in 2008, I taught 3rd grade for one year. I then worked as a Read more preschool teacher and then as a nanny for a family with 5-year-old and infant girls for one year. I then had my daughter (she is 4 now) and stayed home with her and started my photography business. I do need to be able to bring my daughter with me to work. She is in preschool four mornings a week but will otherwise be accompanying me.
