Child care has been my passion for 11+ years. I was a nanny/house manager for a widower and his two young children for 7 years. I helped raise them from the ages of 2 and 4 years old as though they were my own. In addition to caring for all of their needs (taking them on play dates, to and from school, and doctor appointments, etc.). I would help manage the house, including while he was away on extended business trips to make sure he never had anything to worry about. I also took care of the cooking, errands, grocery shopping, and light housekeeping duties. When his elderly mother came to live at the home, I helped care for her as well on an as needed basis. He recently got married to a wonderful lady and so now the family is whole again. My job came to a beautiful but Read more bittersweet end when my husband was transferred here from out of state. We parted ways amicably and remain in close contact with them to this day. I have experience working in childcare centers and I also ran a successful in-home child care. I am also committed to helping others in the community and volunteered for a non-profit group where I coordinated fundraisers for local charities. I am dependable, hardworking, and have a playful, gentle spirit. I am also very creative and often draw upon my background in childcare to create fun and engaging, age-appropriate activities to do with children both indoors and outdoors so they won’t be bored. I am looking for a full-time position with a wonderful family.
