Sarah reached out to me in response to my job posting on a Monday and we arranged an interview for the following Sunday at 1pm. I sent her a text just before 9am on Sunday to confirm our interview and received a response at 11:15 that she wouldn’t make it due to car trouble. She didn’t ask if we could reschedule, so I am left to assume it was a made up excuse as her interest had changed. As a busy mom to an infant, I don’t have time for unreliability or failure to uphold commitments. If your interest has changed, just let the parent know. I gave Sarah two stars instead of just one because she at least responded to let me know she wouldn’t make it, unlike many other young girls on this platform who simply no show or ghost you after the interview.
