My desire to work with children began when I was a sophomore in high school, I began volunteering after school at START. Its an after school program that helps children with their homework, feeds them, and various fun physical activities. I learned many different skills while being there. Such as learning how to interact with the children which is a make or break. Being a military brat all my life also taught me how to adapt to different changes which is something this job requires. I'm currently finishing up my first year of college where I'm working towards an Associates degree. I plan on becoming a pediatric nurse within the next few years, which is how this job is also benefiting me in more than one way. I'm getting more experience while already doing what I love.
