I'm a musician and current classroom teacher looking for part time work for the Summer and beyond. I love the outdoors, hiking and camping. In addition to child care services, my hope would be teaching Piano or Guitar, and/or tutoring Literacy, Math or French. I currently lead a 3rd grade class in San Francisco, where I teach Reading, Writing, Math, and Social Studies. I have planned numerous creative projects and outdoor excursions as well. While I would not be able to start part time child care until June, I could begin teaching Piano, Guitar, or tutoring right away. I do charge more for music lessons and tutoring, but offer a sliding scale based on what families can afford. I am willing to work with children of any age. After graduating from Wesleyan University, I worked for two years as a full time classroom teacher, teaching 1st and 2nd grade at Read more Beauvoir School in Washington DC. As a native French speaker, I also led a french immersion class. Currently, many of the students I teach in my 3rd grade class have their own personalized plans, due to social/emotional learning differences, which has broadened my scope of best practices according to a child's specific needs. Additionally, I have first aid and CPR certification.
