Hello Families! I am a native New Yorker new to Beverly Hills! . I attended The Dalton School on the UES for primary school and The Beacon School on the UWS for high school. I graduated from FIT in the Spring of 09 after interning for companies such as John Varvatos and Macys' with a degree in Menswear Design and I am employed full-time as Menswear Designer Manger for a great young brand in Central LA. Growing up, I'd say 90% of my peers had what we called sitters. Occasionally during play-dates we'd luck out and get a male sitter who was in college or a recent graduate-- we loved it because we had someone who could facilitate more physical activities, keep up with us and of course the "cool factor" didn't hurt. As a manny (male nanny) I strive to provide the same experience for prospective clients. While female Read more nannies offer the always important mom-like presence there is a lot to be said for a sitter who can keep your son entertained not only by arranging activities but participating in them as well. It's important for your guy to have a "cool" older male around, not quite dad's age, as someone he can hopefully look up to and respect. I am creative professional so the appreciation and creation of art is an important aspect of my life and something that I look forward to sharing with your son. Conversely, being active is just as important-- specifically I'm into running, hiking, biking, etc, but I am totally up for participating in all sports. While I am new to the manny role, proper, I am at ease and experienced caring for children. I have a large extended family and have spent many summers looking after children of relatives. I am also a former Boy Scout. In summation: I love kids and will engage with them on their level but also provide structure I am energetic, athletic, and organized and comfortable assisting with homework (writing, math, science, etc, any project that requires building ++) At ease preparing meals, organizing activities, and participating in them Open to caring for children 5 and up, will consider caring for 2 Offer peace of mind for the physical security for your child I look forward to hearing from you!
