I have cared for all types and ages of children both professionaly and as a sitter from infancy to teens.  I also have assisted friends of my son and daughter in law with care of their children.  My medical knowledge should ease your mind while caring for your child. I have two forms of back ground check both with Sitter City and my RN license requires fingerprinitng. In child care I would be your sitter with someone who has a RN background . I am presently studying to be a Public Health Nurse and want to work as a school nurse.  My studies are mostly at home after class time. I understand the concerns of parents leaving their children.  I promise that I will provide excellent care and 100% attention to minimizing the separation worry of both you and your child. I enjoy riding my bike, walking, hiking and most outdoor sports.  I Read more love arts and crafts, toys as I am a collector myself and many cooking projects.  My husband was one or 12 children so there are lots of nieces and nephews.  We are an active family. I attend St Finbar church and am an active member there.  I hope that if you need help you will email me.   itistwo@aol.com    Jan

Jan has done a wonderful job caring for our two young boys (ages 3 & 1.) She babysits for us every few weeks and I always know that the boys will have a great time with her. She reads, plays games/legos and is completely capable of managing dinner and bed time if necessary. Recently, my younger son has been experiencing separation anxiety and she has taken it all in stride. We are so happy that we found Jan!

Jan is prompt and professional, which is helpful in today's busy world. But it's really her enjoyment of our child that makes our interactions with her so great. It's clear she likes to be around children, and can really focus on your child. Her own experience as a mom, coupled with her nursing career, makes her relaxed and confident with a baby, which was reassuring for me as a first-time mom. Maybe my favorite thing is our little chats at the end of the evening, when Jan tells me how things went and what she sees our daughter doing. It's great knowing we're leaving our daughter in good hands and can just enjoy our date nights.

Jan watched our 11mo son so we could finally go on our first "date night". Of course this turned out to be the same night our son gets sick for the very first time. If we hadn't already purchased tickets for an event we probably would have cancelled to stay home with him. However, once Jan arrived she took over caring for him right away in the same mannner we would, which made us feel much better about leaving him. She text us while we were out to update us on how he was doing which also put our mind at ease. We ended up having a great night and came home to a happy sleeping baby. She even cleaned all of his toys! Jan was wonderful and we would definatlely love to have her again.

I applied and was accepted into a graduate program. I turned to a family member for help to care for my girls one night per week from 5:30-8:30pm, but was declined. I panicked and even considered putting off this opportunity. I had two weeks to find someone I could trust with my baby girls, so I turned to Sitter City. Within minutes I started getting responses and Jan stood out. I believe Jan noticed how apprehensive I was leaving my girls with a stranger, so she did everything possible to help ease my mind. It has been nearly five weeks since we met Jan and I am thankful she responded to our advertisement. She is on time, dedicated, attentive, goal oriented, great with homework, projects, storytelling, and lullabies. Our girls look forward to spending time with their new friend, Jan! We are thankful!

Jan is wonderful - she's a breath of fresh air and always comes in full of energy. She made me feel at ease leaving my son with her and I can tell he is having a blast! So happy to have found her! -Sara, Burbank

This woman is an extension of our family! Jan came in and immediately put us all at ease and played our little toddler right out! She gives amazing care with such heart and grace. Caring for children just comes naturally to her and we can't imagine having a better person in our home while we need to leave our precious one! If it was possible to give her 100 stars-we would! Thanks Jan for being our caregiver, friend and our darling toddler's angel!
