I am a wife and mother of two sons ages 33 and 18, I also have a dog and two cats. I worked in the healthcare field for 25+ years in the insurance and billing office and now I am interested I caring again for children in a more regular basis. I have always loved caring for children since I was a teenager. I started babysitting in the nursery at our church and for families throughout high school and continued on into adulthood even after I had my own two children. I recently started caring occasionally for a 6 year old girl and 15 month old boy for date nights, etc.. I love teaching and learning with them. Seeing them experiencing life every day brings such joy to my heart and my life. I have always had a caregiver heart, weather to an animal, child or while caring for my Read more grandmother after my mother passed away unexpectedly. My mother always thought I would be a nurse or a missionary somewhere. I believe that my years of life experiences would be a benefit to a family. I have patience and creativity, I enjoy cooking, reading and crafts and enjoy showing little ones how to enjoy those things too. Weather it’s making an apple pie or a mud pie; making lemonade or making a potion outside with water, grass, rose petals and dirt. I’m very caring, and love giving hugs and praises but can also be a (loving, firm) disciplinarian when needed. I’m very consistent and believe in manners and respect. If your child/children are in my care they are my main focus, I will care and protect them at all costs. I am old school and I don’t get distracted by Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat etc.. The momma bear comes out in me and you can depend and trust that I will do my very best to be the positive influence on their lives all while respecting the parents and following their guidelines as to how they are rearing their family.
