I am a licensed BSN Registered Nurse, currently licensed to practice in Colorado. I am taking a break from nursing to visit my elderly grandparents out here in California and study for specialized nursing boards. I am CPR and first aid certified. I grew up in the high mountains of Colorado which allowed me to enjoy a very active lifestyle. My hobbies include snowboarding, hiking, kayaking, and I’m learning how to rock climb. I love taking the children I babysit for out on mini adventures and bringing them home to their parents happy and tired. I have a perfect driving record and a reliable car. I enjoy creating fun games with the kids. My goal is to always keep them engaged and active while they are in my care. I have special training in Motivational Interviewing. I have an upbeat personality and am not afraid to be goofy or silly with the kids. I have been working full time as a nurse for the past two years so I do not have any current babysitting references- however I have many years of experience starting when I was 16. Families used to fight over my available time. For the past two years I have been working at a residential facility for teenagers with mental health disorders, addiction and severe trauma. I love what I do, however I’m taking a sabbatical to spend time with my grandparents while I still can.
