I am currently a full time 2nd grade teacher looking to work during winter break.
I started babysitting at the young age of 9 for two girls under the age of 2! Now, 30, I have done it all. I have been a babysitter, nanny, and mother's helper. I've even written about child development for Babble!
After moving from Orang County, CA to Philadelphia for college in 2004, I became a nanny for a family who liked me so much, they had me hired at their daughter's preschool when she was old enough. I taught for one year, while nannying and earning my BA, and was promoted to Assistant Director. Once I began graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania I continued to nanny and babysit for other familes, but had to leave my preschool. Every family I have worked with is willing to speak with you and give a stellar recommendation!
After 8 years in Philadelphia, I moved to NYC to be closer to my sisters. I taught preK at a private school in Brooklyn, and continued to nanny (for a family I met in Philly!)
I have a reliable car, clean driving record, current state clearances and CPR/first aid certified. Nonsmoking, no drugs, and I do not own pets (though I love animals!).
