Hello! My name is Ruby. I live in Dixon, California. I have 3 summers (this will be my fourth) teaching swim lessons at the pool here in town. It is absolutely my favorite thing. I have a passion for children and hope to focus my career one day with children. This job also requires me to have CPR and first-aid certification. Along with these certifications, I have many years of "non-professional" experience with babysitting from the time I was about 12 years old. I have three younger brothers and many younger cousins and family friends. I am now 20 years old. Since the age of 18 I have been the nanny of two children ages 4 and 7. This lasted about 8 months but they moved away. I was also the nanny of a 3 month old girl last year for 3 months, twice a week, 8 hours a day Read more while her parents worked as teachers. I would be more than happy to provide resources! I have many families and mothers who would be happy to talk to you! I am an occasional babysitter for many children, but I am looking for something a bit more regular. A little about me as a person... I am still a lifeguard. I am very passionate about water sports and water safety. I am currently employed at Starbucks on Ary Lane in Dixon. I have been there for a year and a half and love it! I believe that chapter of my life is actually coming to an end and am hoping to find work in child care. I am a student in Sacramento at Sacramento City College, beginning my second year. I am studying child development and psychology. I graduated high school in 2017 and took a year off to travel to India and Mexico on mission. I actually just got back to California from Africa just a few days ago. I was in Uganda for a month, also on mission. I would love to tell you more about these trips in person if we get a chance to meet! I attend Living Hope church in Dixon. I am a youth leader for the middle school youth group called Foundation located at Grace Fellowship church on Tuesday nights.
