I was a tad worried at first that Nela didn't have any recent reviews on here, but I felt with all the positive reviews, I didn't even need to meet her first and decided to just go ahead and have her come over for some much needed relief for my toddler twins while I try to do other things around the house. She was great with them and kept engaging with them, read to them, and even brought over a toy to keep them entertained for a bit outside in our backyard. She is very sweet and offered some great tips to help make my life a bit easier. I highly recommend Nela! :)

Nela is awesome. She has been providing overnight care for my 5 week old so my husband and I could get some much needed rest. From our initial conversation she has been responsive, informative, and very dependable. She always answers my questions promptly and is wonderful to work with. She shows up on time and takes wonderful care of our little one and I completely trust her. We will continue to hire her when she is available.

Nela has helped us off and on for the past 2 years with our 3 kids, from the time of birth (she even was there with mom all the days in the hospital for one of them because dad just couldn't be there). Mostly overnight shifts - which were really tough at times, but she always left our place with a smile on her face and words of wisdom. The best thing about Nela, compared to any other caregiver we've ever had, is that she really cares for our kids almost like they are her own. She always gives them birthday presents, gives advice and figures things out if they are having problems - diaper rash, acid reflux, sleep trouble, etc. She is excellent with newborns needless to say, but has a ton of experience with all ages of children. Our only complaint is that she is too popular and so always in demand from other families. Any family that can get her help is very lucky and very fortunate.

Marianela (Nela) has taken care of our twin sons since they were 8 months old (they are now 2). From the moment we interviewed her, we were very impressed with her and noticed her confident and nurturing personality around children. She is a warm, caring, and genuinely kind person that our boys absolutely adore, and she has grown to be like family to us. Nela cooks healthy foods (age appropriate) for their meals and is wonderful about letting us know details about how the boys did while we were at away. She also will text or call me or my husband if there were any concerns. Nela is very helpful with picking up after the boys and cleans up any messes. Your children will adore her--get her when she's available! I highly recommend Nela!

Marianela has been such a great help to me. I was looking for a full-time nanny for my newborn twins and while Marianela was not available, she recommended a friend who has turned out to be fantastic. Marianela knows what it takes to be a good nanny and I would trust her in the future if I ever needed another referral. Thank you Marianela!

I would highly recommend Nela for the parents out there that need an extra hand or a little bit extra sleep. Nela has been looking after our twin boys once a week (overnight), and we feel very comfortable with her. She was keen to figure out our schedule, and also has useful suggestions to help our twins sleep better. She really does have the best interest of the babies at heart.

Nela is absolutely amazing! She has been helping our family out during the week (we have newborn twin girls) and she's incredible with them! Unfortunately we've already been through a few other night nurses who were unable to handle two at once, but this hasn't been an issue with Nela! She's very loving, brings so much experience to the table and is always willing to answer questions and offer advice. She is in constant communication with me during the week and the days that she isn't with us at night, always finding ways to improve our setup at home. I don't know where we would be without her! Thank you, Nela!!!

Marianela has come twice to babysit for our children and we hope to have her come back often. She is a lovely person and a wonderful, extremely capable sitter. We have no concerns about leaving our children with her and our kids think she is terrific. She even went outside with our son to see his giant tree fort and crawled through it with him. Marianela is one of those rare sitters who can do everything in the household: manage pets, cook dinner, clean up, engage children with games and toys, get everyone washed up and in bed on time. She is also very experienced with newborns, though we did not have a baby for her to watch. She is a real find on Sittercity!

Nela was a super babysitt, the best of the best !! She has a sense of mather , so kindness and super sweet . My kids 3 .6 ys old and 8 months really love her . Thank you so much Nela , you r the best . Looking to see you soon.

Marianela, is AMAZING, my little boy took to her straight away. She is so friendly and competant. I felt totally comfortable leaving my son with her. She was on time and kept him busy. She also noticed that he had been spitting up more than she thought was normal and suggested he may have acid reflux, I took him to the doctors and she was right!!!!, she is incredible!!!. She has a sense of kindness and calm about her that puts you and your child at ease, she is definatly a must for your baby sitting needs. trust me, im picky!!!! aren't we all when it comes to our little ones???

Wow! Nela was a SUPER sitter. She came to our home to help out with my three children after we were in a car accident. She was very proactive in knowing what to do with the kids and where she was needed, played age-appropriate games with my kids (6, 2 and 10 months) and seemed genuinely unphased by the often chaotic and demanding nature of three very busy chidlren! Not only that she picked up toys after the kids were done with them and made the whole house calmer and neater. For me it has been difficult to find someone who is comfortable caring for all three of my kids at once and she had absolutely no problem doing it. As a stay at home mom I am very picky about who I have watching the kids because I feel it needs to be the right personality, someone who knows how to really take charge in every aspect of the home. She's a very firm and bright person but with a calm demeanor, the perfect personality, in my opinion, to care for kids who need a lot of love and attention. We plan to have her back as needed and absolutely loved her. Thank you Nela!

Marianela, or "Nela" as we call her, is an excellent care taker. I found her on sittery city a few weeks ago and she has taken care of my 5 mos old and 4 year old a few days now. She is reliable, self motivated, and excellent with both children. My daugther, Daniela, keeps asking for her. I also loved and appreciated that she volunatarily cleaned up toys and washed baby bottles! She also cooked for my daugther and cleaned up the mess. Thank you Nela! Nela is fantastic with our 10 month old son. Our son is always happy when we return home from our date night and it is reassuring to know that we don't have to worry about him while we are out. The added bonus is that by the time we return home, she has our son bathed and ready for bed. His toys are even picked up too! Thank you Nela!

I have two small children a boy and a girl, and hired Nela for the evening hours while I attend school. She is always very punctual, and brings food to make with the kids and turns it into a group activity. She is very sweet, patient, and cleans up their mess and even helps with small things around the house. I would definitely recommend her, once you meet her, you can tell that she is a very genuine person and that she really loves kids. Krystal Collins, Orange, CA

Nela was great. The boys warmed up to her very quickly and had a great time. Nela was great at letting us know how the boys were doing while we were out. I would highly recommend her and will be using her again.

She was an amazing baby sitter for my 6 month old son. We immediately felt comfortable with her. She would text me frequently to keep me informed and calm. She was a baby sitter for us during our vacation and she worked with our schedule so we could enjoy ourselfs. I checked for bruises, dialated eyes, wierd marks... this one is golded!!! Nothing was wrong with my son. He got his naps in, he got bathed, fed and played with. All her comments about my baby and what he did told me that she was interacting with him. She is a good sitter and I plan on having her next time we go to California.

I couldn't ask for a better sitter. My kids (4 years and 20 months) took to "Nela" instantly, and she kept them busy the whole day. I think she was a bigger hit than the grandmas (don't tell them- hehe!) She took them for a walk, played dress up, fed them, and at the end, they were sad to see her go. This was their first non-family baby sitter, so I was nervous at first, but I am now extremely excited to have Nela to call when we need someone to watch the kids- and so are they!

My son is 10 and she was great with him. She kept him busy and motivated during the day. They even took the dog for a walk. She is wonderful to work with and so friendly right off the bat. My son loved her and asked how soon I would need to leave him again. I would recomment her highly!! Cherie E

Not a tear was shed by my 3 yr. old as we walked out the door, a miracle in itself. My daughter asked when nela could come back to babysit again. I felt very comfortable and confident that the evening would go well with her in charge!! It did! I recommend Nela. Marianela was a fantastic babysitter during our recent visit to Anaheim. She was very active--taking all 3 of our kids on outings and to the pool. She was very responsible and the kids loved her and had a blast. It was a great weekend thanks to her. I recommend her highly!!!!!

My kids told me for an hour after Nela left how much fun they had. They said that she is great at coloring and I was grateful to have someone in my home with my kids that is so experienced and comfortable with them. My kids asked me when Nela could come back for another playdate as I put them to bed, that tells me they had a blast! Thanks Nela!

Nela was fantastic!! I am a fairly uptight mother of an extremely active and mercurial 20 month old daughter. I have never used a sitter before, so I was quite anxious, but Nela took charge (in a good way!) which immediately put me at ease so that I could enjoy myself at my brother's wedding. My daughter warmed to Nela very quickly and they seemed to have had a good time together.

Marianela (Nela) Babysat our 2 year old on VERY short notice this past Sunday. She was EXCELLENT! is obviously very experienced and comfortable with children. She was great with Emmett...kept him engaged, safe and happy...AND cleaned up the toys etc. (THANK YOU, usually I come home to a mess)! I HIGHLY recommend her.
