I've been blessed to have raised 3 beautiful children of my own...two are in college, the youngest is home schooled. I have been honored with 3 non-family related God-children... the oldest one was named after me. (thankful for the honor from my friend) Bachelor's degree from U.C. Davis in Psychology '93 with a minor in Human Development (the study of life changes from birth to seniors). I was attending with the direction of becoming a licensed Marriage, Family and Child Counselor. First Aid and CPR trained 3 times, and now need to renew my certificate. (being honest is a good thing) I have been involved in Youth Ministry for over 20 years (mentor, listener, activities leader, driver, camper, leader, speaker) It takes a heart for God and a fair mix between patience and firmness. My experience has shown me that kids crave boundaries, attention, and encouragement. It takes all three Read more to show you truly love and care about them...not just discipline and/or do whatever you want approach. A friendship can be made, but you can't really lead/guide and love a child by just being their friend. I was a professional winemaker for 22 years in Monterey, CA and travelled all throughout the USA and other countries (Japan, Portugal, Jamaica, Mexico, and Canada) worked, assisted and paired many wines with incredible food. My skills in the kitchen will provide delicious nutrition for both children and parents if needed. No I will not serve wine to your children (needing to state the obvious). I can do Yard Maintenance if needed, House Cleaning, Laundry, Pets are great too, especially dogs. Ethical, Trustworthy, Dependable, Loyal, Well Mannered and Fun No Smoking, Drug Free, and love Sports too.
