I am the oldest of four kids from a very close and well educated family. My parents are both Harvard graduates and raised us with a stress on education and high moral standards. My mother is an elementary school teacher and my father is the city attorney in my home town of Ann Arbor Michigan. Pursuing my love of the ocean and science, I attended Eckerd College in Florida where I received a B.S. in Marine Sciences with a special focus on Marine Biology. Since then I have been working in the Environmental/Science Education field with kids of all ages. I have also done private tutoring. I just finished a summer position at Leslie Science and Nature Center, in Ann Arbor Michigan were I was an educator for environmental summer programs for kids ages four to thirteen. I currently just returned to California where for the past school year I Read more worked and lived at an outdoor school in the Santa Cruz Mountains teaching environmental education to 5th and 6th graders. Last summer I was an educator at the Catalina Island Marine Institute in California. I have created, taught and led many different kinds of environmental/ecological education programs on all coasts of the United States, including Florida, Maine, and California. Teaching and caring for kids has always been something I have loved doing. I am a mature, responsible, reliable and outgoing person with excellent childcare and interpersonal skills and extensive experience with kids of all ages I will provide excellent care for any child, while helping with schoolwork and any other needs of the child or family. Coming from a large family with over thirty cousins, I have always had a position as a teacher, guardian, and role model for my younger family members.
