Hi! My name is Erika. I live in beautiful La Jolla with my eight year old son and work as postpartum doula, a.k.a. Mother’s Helper. I like to tell people that in the newborn stage, I do for families what a mother or mother-in-law might, but without the baggage… literally and figuratively. This can look like fixing a snack for a nursing mother, and then answering her questions about infant care, before folding a load of baby laundry, and then playing with baby’s big brother while mom takes a nap, all the while supporting all family members through this time of adjustment.
