With two older brothers in nursing, my ideal career growing up was to work as a nurse in pediatric oncology. Thus my early career choices catered towards children and health care, individually. However, with such an emotionally challenging professional goal, my parents advised me to explore the world and take a year to discover my virtues before starting Nursing school in Texas. My experiences abroad have only bolstered my passion towards working in pediatric nursing. I worked as a teacher at bluebonnet learning center (Dallas, Texas) and truly enjoyed being able to help toddlers learn during their first experience in a class room. In this position, I planned activities that stimulated growth in language, social motor skills. I managed to recognize problems devise positive approaches to overcome issues.
