I am a a college student graduating this December with a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Biblical Studies. I was born and raised in Pompano Beach, Florida and moved to Los Angeles, California to go to college at Biola University. My college career has been shaped by my involvement with Biola's Communication Department, working as a Student Ambassador & Events Assistant for Biola Admission's Office, backpacking in California National Parks, and developing life long friendships. As this chapter closes, I eagerly wait the next season of life as I pursue my Masters Degree in Interpersonal Communication. I am also excited to pursue my dream of living, working, and adventuring in Northern California. I have marvelous parents who have been married for 30 years and 3 sisters who are my best friends. I am very family oriented and attribute this to my mom's commitment to homeschooling me Read more and my sisters the majority of our growing up years. Because of my experience, I am passionate about hands on learning and desire to show children how to enjoy the art of education in and outside a classroom. I have had the opportunity to work with children since I was 12 years old through consistent babysitting jobs, nannying on weekends, being a camp counselor for 3 summers in a row, teaching Sunday School to 2nd graders, working as a staff assistant at Crossroads School in South Florida, and participating in various volunteer programs which involve children of all ages. Needless to say, I love children look and look forward to furthering my experience through new opportunities. I believe it is important for children to be respected, loved, taught, and protected as they learn how to journey through life. I believe it is my responsibility to equip the children under my care with the tools to become increasingly more independent to best navigate through life. I am passionate about prioritizing for every child's needs according to their familial culture, personality, and behavioral patterns. I am quick to adapt to what a child needs depending who they are as a unique individual.
