Hi, I’m Kristen! :) I'm 34 years old, married, living in Murrieta, graduated with a BA in Communications and having been babysitting/nannying since 2001. I've babysat children of all ages both part-time and full-time over the years while going to college, getting my real estate license and working at corporate jobs. I operated off of referrals in the community of Ladera Ranch in Orange County for years, booking 3 weeks out and recommending my friends/fellow babysitters when I was unable to complete a job. I took a break from babysitting for a few years while my husband and I were dating. We married in 2020 and relocated from OC to the IE in June 2021, where we built our new home in Spencer's Crossing. We moved here hoping to start a family, but we have not been able to conceive for over two years so we are beginning to explore Read more fertility options. I've found the job market is much different here than OC and have not had luck finding a corporate job in my salary range. I've decided to pursue a childcare position instead. Should I become pregnant, I would most certainly give plenty of notice to the family I'm babysitting/nannying for. I have a passion for spending time with children and feel that caring for them is such an important part of the growing up process. I always try to be kind and caring while still being firm if there is misconduct. I’ve had years of first aid/CPR training though if a family wanted me to take a more recent course, I’d be happy to do so. I’ve shuttled kids to and from school, helped with homework, played with babies, enjoyed the park with toddlers, ridden bikes with kids, spent time reading, cooking, watching movies, playing games and doing crafts. The most important thing when caring for your child is focusing on them. Cleaning up after meals and play time I definitely expect to do, but I don’t consider myself a house keeper so any cleaning/chores that fall outside of what I do with the kids would not be something I’d expect to do. I appreciate families who keep a clean pet-free home. If you do have hypoallergenic cats or dogs, I’m totally good with that! I’m happy to answer any questions you may have. :)
