Hello! While I am new to Sittercity, I am certainly not new to caring for children! I am a credentialed substitute teacher for K-12 & special education. I am a work-at-home mother of a 2 & 3 year old. I have an online quilting/crafting business that allows me maximum flexibility for a family that finds themselves in need of last minute, short term or emergency child care. My husband also works from home which enables me to provide care in your home at any time. We are originally from Chicago & Minnesota and we embody "Midwest Nice"! Is your child sick and can't go to school? Or is it a school holiday? Need a date night out? Whatever the reason, take a deep breath & contact me. We'll work it out together! I am very active with children- we won't be sitting in front of the TV unless your little Read more one is feeling really under the weather. Otherwise, it's playing outside, doing arts & crafts, racing match box cars or playing Elsa & Anna! Best part for you? I leave everything as clean as it was when I got there! No messes for you to clean up or dishes in the sink. My college degree & work in the classroom gives me an edge if homework help is needed. I am more than comfortable (who am I kidding!? I'm downright delighted!) to care for your newborn. Not to toot my own horn, but I'm a bit of a prodigy when it comes to potty training! I drive a Honda Pilot with seats for 8- I have 2 5pt Recaro carseats already in there and room for more! I am available for a few hours, a few days or up to 1 month. After we've met a few times, we would also be open to more long term care provided in our child-proof home. Thank you for taking the time to consider me. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions!
