My first job as a nanny was 7 years ago, I fell in love with it right away, it was something I was naturally good at, and loved to watch the 3 children I took care of develop and grow. As a first time nanny, a newborn, a 2 year and a 4 year old with special needs was a definite challenge but I loved it and got to learn so much that I've taken with me to every other job. I left for college after 2 years with that family and when I came home 2 years later and started my first job working with kids in a group setting. I started at a daycare with children whose age ranged from 6 months old to 12 years old. While I started as a floater working with all age, I became the teacher to 8 wonderful 2 year olds. I Read more then moved on to Champions, a preschool and before and after school program, where I was working in a mixed aged (ages 3-5) preschool that was more focused on education and development of the children, than my last company. I started as the assistant teacher and halfway through the year I became the lead teacher, in charge of curriculum, and supervision of 24 children. I transferred to a Champions location in California when I moved here from Ohio in August 2015. I still work there as the lead before and after school teacher, where I am in charge of 25+ kindergartners. In addition to their supervision I also plan curriculum for the 75+ children who attend the after school program. While I love the children at my current job, I'm looking for a job as a nanny because I miss working with the younger ages, as well as a more full time position. I am currently first aid and CPR certified and come with a clean background check. If you have any other questions about me or my experience I would be more than happy to answer them.
