For 23 years I have been fortunate to work long term for families in the Los Angeles Area. I own a safe, insured vehicle and have an impeccable driving record. I speak English and Italian fluently. I am pet friendly. It has been my privilege to work for families in which I raised their children from infanthood, toddlerhood, and preteen years. I take great pride in the reliability, honesty and dependability that I bring to each job. As one who works for professionals I understand that it is essential to arrive to work on time, fulfill my duties independently, reliably, and with flexibility when needed. When parents leave for work and then arrive home the child’s transition from nanny to parent needs to be harmonious and blend with style that is arrived at between parent and nanny. My duties usually include transporting children to age-appropriate activities: the park, a playgroup, Read more preschool, school, doctor visits if needed, playgrounds, playgroups and play dates, sports activities such as soccer and t-ball, riding lessons, summer camp, swimming lessons, dancing lessons, playgroups, AYSO soccer, t-ball practice, and of course engaging in a variety of age appropriate play throughout the day, such as reading, games and imaginative play.I enjoy my abilities as a person with artistic sensibilities and abilities. My hobbies include drawing, cartooning, gardening, knitting, sewing, jewelry making, flower arranging, cooking, and creating of gift baskets. I’ve been fortunate to be able to teach some of these pursuits to some of the children I’ve taken care of. As I am fluent in English and Italian, many of my families encouraged me to speak to and teach their children Italian – to fluency in some cases.
