I am moving to Long Beach, CA and will be available to start work at the beginning of May, 2015! The dates are flexible! Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Lindsay Boller, by day I'm the lead counselor for an intensive outpatient treatment program but by some nights and weekends you can find me kicking back with a bowl of popcorn, whichever kids are in my care and any one of the following: -the sing along version of Frozen playing, at just the right tempo, so as not to disturb the true and beautiful singing of me and the kiddos. -a fascinating game of Candy Land, Chutes and Ladders or hopefully Monopoly -a serious game of hide-and-go seek, catch and/or capture the flag -reading and illustrating pictures or listening to the kid(s) read -painting nails and talking about what Mrs.Jones said in class about the upcoming field trip Read more -transferring the baby as smoothly as possible from my arms into the crib praying they won't wake up after I leave I'm 27 years old and absolutely love working with kids. I've been a camp counselor at several different camps and with several different organizations for multiple summers. I actively serve in my church's preschool, nursery (where a background check is required), and I watch a ton of kids, dogs, houses, chickens, and the occasional fish when hired or just sometimes when asked to do so. I'm an equal opportunity mammal caregiver and lover. I've been on mission trips both nationally and internationally where I've participated in Vacation Bible Schools and other children/toddler/baby center activities and services. It's not uncommon for me at all to get a text message or phone call from a random number asking if I am available to babysit because they heard of me through a friend of theirs. Based on my education, work and personal experience I believe that childhood/adolescence is by far the most important stages of growth and development and I find it a true blessing to play a role in that development. In order for the children of today to become contributing members of society tomorrow with healthy boundaries and relationships it is imperative they are invested in with unwavering love as infants, children and teenagers. I'm young enough to still be cool, single enough to be available and responsible enough that people leave their children, pets and homes under my care for days, weeks and... well, I haven't reached the months mark yet! Oh and I'm also First Aid and CPR certified from infancy to adult.
