Being around kids brings a special excitement and joy to my life...it inspires me. I have practically grown up caring for younger children. Currently, I am a Nursery/Toddler Volunteer for the Kids Ministry at my church. For three years in college, I was a regular sitter for one of my professors. She had two boys, ages 4 and 6. I usually had the boys from afternoon until late evening (even picking them up from school). Our routine was to play games outdoors/indoors, complete homework, make and eat dinner, read books and go to sleep. The goal was always to have the boys asleep and the house put back together before mom arrived at home. I am a firm believer in providing children with educational and physical activities over movies and video games. Before college, I volunteered in a nursery, and occasionally babysat/overnight nannied for a family with three young children. Read more I have also helped my mom nanny in recent summers. At a young age, I started babysitting my own younger siblings. I am currently a certified K-12 Music Teacher and teach at Youth Orchestra Los Angeles (YOLA). I have recently graduated with a masters degree in teaching and am transitioning into the title of Young Professional as both a teacher and performer. My training as a music teacher has provided me with a quiet and gentle approach to talking with children, helping them, and dealing with behavior. I am also CPR certified. If you have young children who need someone to play and care for them, older children who need investment, encouragement and help with homework, or just need a mom's day/night out - I would be a great fit!
