Hi! My name is Tina, I am a 29-year-old caregiver/mental health professional. I have a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and have been working towards licensure to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. I have worked with children, teens, young adults, and families with emotional and mental health issues as well as trauma. However in 2012, my mom had a near fatal stroke (now age 61) which left her with left-sided weakness and with a loss of her independence. Since then, I have been helping to care for her from a hospital, acute facility, skilled nursing home, and finally--home environment setting. For almost 3 three years, my passion in caring and working with individuals with physical illness/disabilities has been growing. My first-hand experience with individuals with physical and mental illness has given me a profound respect and compassion for them.
