I have worked with children for many years, and find fulfillment in being around such bright little lights! This past 2014 summer, I was named a Head Counselor, in addition to being the guitar instructor, at Camp Lake Hubert for Girls in Minnesota. I was in charge of a staff of 5 other counselors as we oversaw Happy Hollow, a cabin of 22 precious seven year olds. After one month in Happy Hollow, I then worked in Chipmunks cabin for ten and eleven year olds, working over a staff of four for the second month of camp! In summers prior, I have worked as a day camp counselor at First Unitarian Church of Dallas (4 years in a row), and as a reading and writing tutor for dyslexic children at the Shelton School in Dallas (two years in a row).
