Meet Juliana

  • Speaks English and Spanish
  • Comfortable with pets

My name is Juliana and I'm 25 years old. I just moved from NYC to LA with my fiance last month. I am from Colombia, born in the city of Bogota. Growing up as the eldest sibling, I can’t count how many times I’ve changed my brother’s and sister’s diapers. My little brother and two little sisters taught me a lot about childcare and what makes kids happy. I cooked for them almost every night and tucked them into bed because my parents would often work late. I eventually became an AuPair nanny for two years which ended about a year ago. I went to college in Bogota, Colombia to study filmmaking. In my free time I was involved in a foundation to fight extreme poverty, called Techo. In this program I was a teacher and nanny, taking care of children between 5 and 12 years old. We also had Read more some recreational time for sports activities and hikes in the woods. After finishing my degree in Colombia and working at a few film production companies, I arrived to the US where I took care of two girls (11 and 14 year old) in Central New Jersey with the AuPair program. I still keep a close relationship with that family; they really are great people. After that, I moved to Brooklyn , NY with my fiancé. I took classes in CUNY and babysat for a lovely family in Brooklyn taking care of a girl (11) and a boy (9) during a year, right before moving to L.A. I'm a responsible and caring person, always optimistic and energetic, I love pets, and I'm creative, honest, punctual and patient. I enjoy cooking, reading, going to museums and being outdoors. Kids feel comfortable around me because I know what they want, kind of like a 6th sense. I’ll always make sure your child (or children) are safe, well fed and happy (and in bed on time!) Thanks for reading! -Juliana
